Six Sigma (6σ) is a set of techniques and tools for process improvement. It was introduced by American engineer Bill Smith while working at Motorola in 1986.

A six sigma process is one in which 99.99966% of all opportunities to produce some feature of a part are statistically expected to be free of defects.

This certificate is an entry-level option for the Six Sigma certification program, which you can easily get started with.

It requires that the candidates have at least three years of hands-on experience in at least one of the Six Sigma methodologies.

The individuals for this certification will be required to demonstrate their understanding of cause and effect perspectives along with their data-driven analytical skills.

They must be able to apply the Six Sigma approach and methodology to their daily business activities and tasks. They should have competence in identifying measurement scales, collecting data, monitoring data, defining critical process factors, characterizing processes, identifying opportunities, and making seamless improvement in an organization.
